Rise Against Hunger

Wilton’s faith communities are once again joining forces to package enough meals in a single day to feed more than 400 children for an entire year with Rise Against Hunger.

This annual event brings together over 650 volunteers from across Wilton to serve side by side in two-hour shifts to meet urgent global needs, and have a wonderful time doing it. Everyone is welcome! Children as young as 7 may participate with a parent; ages 13+ may sign up on their own.

Meals are packaged in partnership with Rise Against Hunger, a nonprofit that distributes food to schools in areas of greatest need worldwide. The event is coordinated by Wi-ACT (Wilton Interfaith Action Committee), living out its motto: “We Act Together for Good!” We invite you to sign up and also bring a non-perishable food item to support families in need locally. 

Whether you’re a first-timer or a returning volunteer, we promise it’s an unforgettable experience that keeps people coming back year after year.
