Ministry with Adults

Faith Formation

If we want our faith to grow, we need to nourish and tend it.

At WPC, we believe it’s important to do this by providing opportunities for growth and fellowship in addition to Sunday mornings.

Small Groups

Throughout the year, we offer a variety of small groups during the week as a way to support each other and dig into our faith together. Recently, we offered a three week dinner series during Lent to “Taco ‘Bout Jesus,” and an Advent Study focusing on how to reclaim joy based on the book, Unplug the Christmas Machine. We also offered a longer term evening Bible Study called “Six O’ Clock Psalms,” reading a different psalm every week and thinking together about how to “pray the psalms.” We meditated on timeless themes like denial vs. abrasive truth telling and amnesia vs. remembering. Please contact Rev. Jessica Jones at jessica@wiltonpresbyterian.org to find out more about our small groups!

Retreats

Venturing off campus for weekend retreats is a long-time tradition at WPC. After a break during the pandemic, in 2024 we were thrilled to offer a fall Women’s Retreat at Stonypoint Center, a Presbyterian retreat center in the Hudson Valley. Our theme this year was “What Holds Us? Feet, Fellowship and Faith.” Together, we explored how our feet, our friends and our faith help us stand through life’s difficult times. We welcomed massage therapist Lenore Briones, licensed massage therapist, to join us! Through prayer, sharing, spiritual exercises, campfire singing, labyrinth walking, breathing meditations, craft projects and walks in the woods, we came away with hearts full and spirits fed.
