Children’s Ministry
Church School
Wilton Presbyterian and St. Matthew’s Churches are thrilled to be partnering on a new, exciting church school program for 2024-2025! Leadership of each group will alternate throughout the year, with staff and lay leadership from both churches sharing the blessing of leading our young people each week.

Church School 2024-2025 Registration
If you are interested in your child attending church school, please fill out the registration Google Form. All youth K-7th grade are welcome to attend regardless of registration, but it helps us accommodate for allergies, learning differences, and identify the best class for them.
Sacred Adventures
(Grades K-4)
A lectionary-based Church School class for K-4 grade children who are introduced to the weekly assigned Gospel lesson in imaginative, age-appropriate ways. They will have the opportunity to explore God within a creative, engaging, and welcoming space, where the warmth of God’s light and love yields a time of playful curiosity, laughter, fellowship, and fun.
What’s the Word
(Grades 5-7)
For young people who are ready for a somewhat more mature church school experience, we are thrilled to offer this engaging, conversation-style exploration of the bible, designed to help make the stories of our faith more accessible, connect them to “real life” (through video, multimedia, games, and more!), provoke questions, inspire vibrant discussion, build relationships, and— of course— have a great time!
Mission Projects
There is a strong emphasis in our curriculum for encouraging our children to be givers and to serve others both within our church communities and in the larger world. In the fall and in the spring, each class makes small individualized gifts of food or crafts which are then gathered together from all the classes into “Give A Smile” gift bags. These gift bags are then delivered by Church School families to 20 people within our two churches to let them know that we are thinking of them and giving them a smile.
