What is Wild Goose Sunday?
An intergenerational communion service where children remain in the service and we do things a bit differently. For example, last month on our first Wild Goose Sunday, a live chicken taught us about the Heifer project, we “passed the peace” on notecards and our children helped serve communion. It will take place on the first Sunday of each month.
Why is it called “Wild Goose”?
On Wild Goose Sundays, we are following the lead of the “Wild Goose,” a name for the Holy Spirit in Celtic Christianity. When we follow the Wild Goose, we are trusting God enough to try something different and discover new places we wouldn’t have found if we hadn’t followed God’s calling.
You wont want to miss it, you never know what might happen!
