I am so excited to be at WPC! I love church music more than just about anything. The church is where I first discovered my love for singing and I knew at a very young age that I wanted to spend my life making music in church. I have worked as a church musician since I was 15 years old, serving primarily Methodist and Presbyterian congregations. I am a native of Georgia, but have been living in the area since 2015. I currently live in Bethel, CT with my husband Joseph, our son Oliver, and our beagle Frank. Joseph and I are both musicians, so there is always a lot of singing in our house. Oliver has been attending rehearsals and performances with us since he was just a few weeks old!
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia, and have just started graduate studies in Vocal Pedagogy. Since graduating in 2012, I have worked extensively as a teacher, church musician and theatre music director. I have a great passion teaching and engaging communities in music making. I lead a community chorus through the LOFT LGBTQ center in White Plains, NY and am currently on faculty at the Harvey School in Katonah, NY, where I am the Middle and Upper School Choral Director.
