Mondays in December
“It is the beautiful task of Advent to awaken in all of us memories of goodness and thus to open doors of hope.”
– Pope Benedict XVI
Advent and Christmas tide are upon us. As Christmas lights begin to festoon homes, days grow shorter, and nights cooler, I find it easy to get into the spirit of the season. It doesn’t take much, however, to find myself irritated, overwhelmed and frustrated. ‘Tis the season, right? Through prayer, reflection and mindfulness, I work to reconnect myself with the divine part of the season and let go of the busy-ness that can overwhelm. Perhaps you are the same and would like to join us for some intentional process around reclaiming the purpose and promise of the season.
For three Mondays in December, the 2nd, 9th and 16th, we will join at noon for lunch in the Lounge and spend some time exploring this reclaiming. To aid us, we will use portions of the book, Unplug the Christmas Machine by Jo Robinson and Jean Coppock Staeheli. If you’d like to purchase this book (not necessary), CLICK HERE
So that we may plan for lunch, EMAIL TO REGISTER HERE.
For those of you unable to attend in person, we will record our time together and invite you to join us at your leisure online once we’ve posted
