Rise Against Hunger

Every fall, Wilton’s faith communities join forces to package enough meals in a single day to feed more than 400 children for an entire year. This annual event brings together over 650 volunteers from across Wilton to serve side by side in two-hour shifts to meet urgent global needs, and have a wonderful time doing it. Everyone is welcome! Children as young as 7 may participate with a parent; ages 13+ may sign up on their own.

Meals are packaged in partnership with Rise Against Hunger, a nonprofit that distributes food to schools in areas of greatest need worldwide. The event is coordinated by Wi-ACT (Wilton Interfaith Action Committee), living out its motto: “We Act Together for Good!” We invite you to sign up and also bring a non-perishable food item to support families in need locally.

Whether you’re a first-timer or a returning volunteer, we promise it’s an unforgettable experience that keeps people coming back year after year.
